Jonathan has worked in tourism marketing, Caribbean and international, for over 35 years. His experience ranges from work on behalf of Saint Lucia, Curaçao, Aruba & Jamaica, Marriott, Hilton, Intercontinental and BWIA. He managed the Global Marketing and Advertising account for the Jamaica Tourist Board as Global Account Director at Foote, Cone & Belding, and sat on the Board of Directors of the Caribbean Tourism Organization for a decade. Outside of the Caribbean, Mr. Spitz managed global tourism marketing for New York City, and has counseled European destination marketers from Monaco to Hungary and Greece. He was awarded Media Plan of the Year by Adweek and a Silver EFFIE Award for Marketing Effectiveness by the American Marketing Association. He has deep knowledge of the MICE and Incentive Travel categories, as well as extensive experience and relationships within the Private Aviation sector. Most recently, he was at Bloomberg, LP as Travel Director for Bloomberg Media Group.
For New York City, Mr. Spitz developed The Big Apple campaign, and was responsible for global, multi-language campaigns across all advertising and marketing promotions.
For Monaco Tourism, Mr. Spitz developed a series of event activations, custom content campaigns in digital & print, plus audio campaigns targeting high net worth individuals and C-Suite corporate decision makers for major MICE events.
