Alison Ross has over 20 years experience and achievements in event related marketing, public relations and project management in the travel industry. She has developed and implemented innovative and award-winning publicity campaigns for a variety of clients, including the Jamaica Tourist Board, the Anguilla Tourist Board and South African Tourism. A senior communications executive with strong international experience in travel, hospitality and luxury lifestyle marketing, she has expertise in media relations, crisis management, branding, marketing communications, government relations and special events.
She has created a Jamaica village on the boardwalk at Universal Studios in Los Angeles; conducted satellite television tours from a private game reserve in Kruger National Park; run multi station radio remote broadcasts from Cape Town, Durban and the beaches of Montego Bay, Negril and Ocho Rios, Jamaica; and spearheaded the successful media campaign to promote South Africa’s readiness to host the 2010 FIFA World Cup. She has implemented strategic partnerships with television networks and upscale retailers, supervised brand and product launches, and drafted speeches for senior government officials. She has developed and implemented innovative and award-winning publicity campaigns for a variety of clients, including the Jamaica Tourist Board and South African Tourism.
Having started her career with the Jamaica Tourist Board in Frankfurt, Germany and Kingston, Jamaica, and having worked in advertising and public relations agencies here in the US, she has invaluable insights from both the client and agency perspectives.
Alison holds a B.A. Joint Honors Arts degree in French and Spanish from the University of Bradford, England; an MBA from Simmons Graduate School of Management in Boston, and an M.A. in International Affairs from the New School University in New York City.
